Released the Morris worm from MIT on November 2, 1988 while a Cornell first-year graduate student at age 22—the first widely disruptive internet worm—and became the first person convicted under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.

Born November 8, 1965 to Bell Labs Unix/Multics cryptographer Robert Morris Sr. and Anne Farlow Morris; raised in New Jersey and educated at The Peck School and Delbarton.
