Giba
Milestone (age 18)
Debuted for the Brazilian national volleyball team at age 18 in 1995 and won the South American Championship that same year, followed by the World Grand Champions Cup in 1997 and the World League title in 2001.
Giba was born in Londrina and raised in Curitiba, Brazil. He was diagnosed with leukemia at six months old but survived. He began volleyball at Circulo Militar do Parana and debuted for the Brazilian national team at 18 in 1995, winning his first international title (South American Championship) immediately.
