At age 17 (1989–1990), created and released LZEXE, a widely used DOS executable compressor—an early, independently verified technical milestone before FFmpeg/QEMU fame.

Born 1972 in Grenoble, France; attended Lycée Joffre in Montpellier. While still a teenager he wrote LZEXE (v0.90 late 1989, published early 1990), which became one of the best-known MS-DOS EXE compressors. He later studied at École Polytechnique and specialized at Télécom Paris (1996).
