You are not the next Xiye Bastida.

Keep the mechanisms. Drop the identity. Bastida grew up in San Pedro Tultepec, Mexico, as a member of the Indigenous Otomi-Toltec community. Her parents were both environmentalists who worked at the Center for Earth Ethics. After extreme flooding hit her hometown in 2015, her family moved to New York City where she became heavily involved in climate activism. She organized climate strikes, spoke at the UN, and co-founded Re-Earth Initiative at 18, which distributed over $500,000 to youth-led projects in 30+ countries.
