Jafari created a Newgrounds account at age 13 (2003) and uploaded animations. He made a YouTube account in 2006 and uploaded gaming reviews to ScrewAttack.com in 2010. He launched the JonTronShow channel on August 31, 2010, with a two-part review of Daikatana, and co-founded NormalBoots with PeanutButterGamer the same year. In July 2012, he co-created Game Grumps with Arin Hanson, further expanding his audience before leaving in mid-2013 to focus on JonTron.
