Break a comparison
You are not the next Goran Bregović.
That is not pessimism. It is precision. You can study this path, but you cannot inherit its conditions, replay its sequence, or schedule its luck.

Keep the mechanisms. Drop the identity. Bregović started playing bass guitar in school bands as a teenager in Sarajevo. After his mother left when he was 16, he supported himself by playing folk music in a kafana, working construction, and selling newspapers. He joined Kodeksi in 1969 at age 18, then formed Jutro in 1971, which was renamed Bijelo Dugme on January 1, 1974.
