Break a comparison
You are not the next Dries Buytaert.
That is not pessimism. It is precision. You can study this path, but you cannot inherit its conditions, replay its sequence, or schedule its luck.

Keep the mechanisms. Drop the identity. Buytaert was born in Wilrijk, Antwerp, Belgium. He learned programming at age six on his father's Commodore 64, typing BASIC code from children's computer books before he could read. His father, a medical doctor, later asked him to build a patient management system, which deepened his programming skills. He studied computer science at the University of Antwerp starting in 1996, where he discovered Linux and contributed to open-source wireless network drivers. In 1999, at age 21, he built a message board for his dorm using PHP and MySQL, which evolved into drop.org and then Drupal, released as open source on January 15, 2001.

Two forces, no new scores
Perseverance and luck both matter.
Documented perseveranceNot documented in the reviewed biographical summaries.Silence in a biography is not evidence that perseverance was absent.
Encounter luckHe studied computer science at the University of Antwerp starting in 1996, where he discovered Linux and contributed to open-source wireless network drivers. This is an unchosen opening or condition in the record, not an estimate of how much luck caused the outcome.
